Services
Luckily, due to modern treatment technologies, the list of foods you can't eat with braces is pretty short.
Soft foods may be easier to eat with braces, but there's no need to switch to a liquid diet or eat only soup.
Avoid nuts and sticky, hard, or crunchy foods and bread crusts, as they can lead to broken braces.
If you eat something like pizza that you'll bite with the front teeth, cut it into smaller pieces and eat it with a fork, using the back teeth if possible.
Foods like corn on the cob and meat on the bone also need to be cut up, as do crunchy fruits and vegetables like apples.

Dr. Jared Gianquinto-known around the office as Dr.
G-is a national leader in the orthodontics community, an awarded navy veteran, proud father, and aspiring bass guitar player (ask him about the guitars hanging in his office).
Born and raised right here in Bakersfield, Dr. G trained at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, where he was inducted into the Endodontics and Oral Surgery honors societies.
After putting his dream of becoming a rock star on hold, he decided to join the Navy, so he went to the Naval Medical Center San Diego and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency.

Locally, Dr. G is past president of the Kern County Dental Society, and has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2012.
