Services
Preventative care is the foundation of a healthy mouth.
The American Dental Association recommends visiting your dentist at least every 6 months for full cleanings, exams, and consultation for any treatment that you may need.
This trip to Lucas Family Dentistry will help keep your smile bright and healthy for years to come.
Dr. Hubler or his hygienist will perform a thorough teeth cleaning that will help remove any built up plaque that is not able to be removed using your toothbrush and floss at home.
Composite fillings - also known as tooth-colored fillings - are dental restorations designed to be natural in and virtually unnoticeable.
They blend well with your natural teeth and appear more natural than amalgam fillings, which are darker and more easily seen by other people.
Composite fillings are made of ceramic and plastic compounds that chemically bond to the teeth.
They can be used to fill in decayed areas of the teeth, as well as to help repair chipped or broken teeth.
Composite fillings allow Dr. Hubler, to preserve more of the natural tooth structure.
Gum Therapy (or Scaling and Root Planing (SRP)) - is the most effective way to treat gum disease.
During SRP, the dentist cleans between the gums and teeth, down to the root.
In most cases, Allen TX cosmetic dentist, Dr. Hubler will use a local anesthetic for this procedure to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible.
It is important that individuals with gum (periodontal) disease have this procedure done.
Gum disease (also called periodontal disease) is an infection of the gums and tissue that surrounds and supports the teeth.
Tooth extractions are routine dental procedures used to remove teeth that have become damaged, decayed or are causing other oral problems for a patient.
Dr. Hubler will make every effort to preserve your natural teeth whenever possible, but sometimes an extraction is necessary to keep your mouth healthy.
This procedure can typically be done right in our office in a short visit.
Depending on which teeth are removed, Dr. Hubler may recommend that they be replaced with a dental implant or bridge to "replace" the missing tooth in your smile.
Dentures are a removable prosthetic that will be designed to look and function like your natural teeth.
For thousands of years, some form of denture has been used to replace teeth or fill gaps left by missing teeth in people's smile.
In fact our first President George Washington had a set of dentures that were often mistaken for being made of wood.
Actually none of his dentures were wood, but may have developed stains over time that gave them a wood;-like appearance.
Today's denture designs are far more advanced and stand up to the test of time much better than our first president's set.
