At Peak Pediatric Dentistry, our goal is to create a comfortable, empathetic, educational and fun environment for children and their parents. We aim to be known for the quality of our pediatric oral health services and the care with which they are delivered. We constantly employ the latest technologies and modern procedures to ensure high quality, safe, and conservative care for our patients and their families.

We are a mercury free, latex free, and BPA free dental office. As a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Chris has completed 3 years of post-graduate training after dental school and specializes in seeing children from infants to age 18. We are invested in building foundations for a lifetime of healthy smiles for our patients and for our community, proudly serving families throughout Northern San Diego County including Carlsbad, Oceanside, Encinitas, Vista, San Marcos and beyond.

A Pediatric Dentist spends an additional 2 - 3 years in training after dental school learning to monitor the growth of and to treat infants, children, and adolescents.
Services
Pediatric dentistry involves care that is specific to babies, toddlers, children and teenagers.
A Pediatric Dentist spends an additional 2-3 years in training after dental school learning to monitor the growth of and to treat infants, children, and adolescents.
Dental care is incredibly important when it comes to your child's overall health.
The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a child be seen no later than 12 months of age.
We aim to make your child's dental visit as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
Pediatric dental exams are done in our office in a safe, comfortable and relaxed manner.
A dental exam is composed of a thorough evaluation of all hard (teeth) and soft tissues (gums) for detection of cavities and oral health conditions.
Diagnostic aids such as x-rays may be needed to help with this visual examination.
Using kid friendly terminology at all times, Dr. Chris will assess your child's overall oral health as well as monitor your child's growth and skeletal development.
Our goal is to provide the best experience possible!
X-rays are a valuable tool in the examination process allowing the dentist to not only detect and prevent cavities, but also monitor oral disease, manage and evaluate trauma, and monitor the development of teeth.
In addition, X-rays help monitor the progress of past dental therapy that may have been completed.
Even though x-rays are low in radiation, every effort is made to minimize the amount of radiation exposure.
Images are taken every 6 months - 18 months, depending on each child's individual circumstances and needs.
Sealants are thin protective coatings that are applied to the biting surfaces of the back teeth.
They form a barrier between your tooth and any bacteria and plaque in the mouth, and can last for up to three years.
Not only can sealants help to prevent cavities, but they can help to prevent deep staining.
Sealants are ideal for both pediatric and adult patients who need an extra layer of protection from cavities.
Sealants are used to prevent further tooth decay.
After a child's permanent teeth grow in, they have an elevated risk of developing cavities.
While brushing and flossing are incredibly beneficial to the health of your teeth, what you eat and drink on a regular basis can contribute to dental problems.
A diet full of sugar and carbs can lead to tooth decay, and late night snacking can create problems with both cavities and gum disease.
We offer nutritional counseling to help shine a light onto your current diet and changes that you can make to improve your eating habits.
This counseling is available to all of our patients regardless of age, gender or weight.

Wonderful Pediatric Dentist!! He’s been great with my cautious girls, who were all scared of going to the dentist! The hygienist staff who cleans their teeth are all so friendly and helpful! The front desk team are phenomenal as well! Highly recommend!! For military folks, they are IN-NETWORK for United Concordia!!

They explain everything not just to the parents, but to the children as well helping to ease any fears the child may have. The office is so clean yet so kid friendly and welcoming. Just overall a great experience every-time we have an appointment. I highly recommend.

We absolutely love Dr Chris and his entire staff! We have tried several pediatric dentists in the area over the course of our time here and this one has been the best ! They meet my kids where they’re at and are focused on the kids getting the best experience possible out of the dentist ! The waiting room is equipped with helpful iPads to entertain the kids while they wait too! Office is clean and well kept ! Run very thoroughly and everything seems so organized !
