You may be unfamiliar with the concept of oral-systemic health, yet you're probably aware of its implications, none-the-less.
Oral-systemic health refers to the fact that the health of your mouth (including your teeth, gums, jaw, tongue, and throat) reflects the health of your whole body.
New research emerges every day to support the oral-systemic health connection, as scientists continue to discover links between gum disease and serious systemic health problems including heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, and respiratory illnesses.
