If you are looking for a Dentist in the Ann Arbor, MI area, we welcome you to our practice. You have many options in choosing a dentist. As a response to today's financial pressures and managed care insurance plans, a growing number of dental practices have adopted the large clinic model. This model depends on treating large numbers of patients in the most efficient manner.

To maximize efficiency, different aspects of patient care are delegated to specialized auxiliary help and often to different doctors. The trade-off for this improved efficiency is that the delivery of care becomes more impersonal. Many dentists do not adopt the large clinic model. They believe that something as personal as dental treatment demands and deserves the doctor's personal attention.

They value building long term, high trust relationships with their patients. They believe that although personalized care will not usually deliver the lowest price, it usually delivers the best value. Dr. Ray Tonks bases his solo practice on the personalized care model and seeks to deliver excellent value in treatment and service to his patients.
Services
Dr. Tonks uses a gentle ultrasonic device for cleanings.
This allows for more effective cleaning power, but with a much lighter touch than with the hand scalers.
Dr. Tonks also uses tooth colored fillings that look exactly like your natural teeth.
Only you will know that you had a filling done.

The first step is to get to know each other, so we can learn how we can best serve you.
Please tell us what you've liked and disliked about your past dental visits, so we can ensure that your future visits with us are pleasant.
We usually begin our initial exam by taking a panoramic x-ray.
This helps us to see all the teeth and surrounding structures on one film.
We may also take close up x-rays of selected teeth.
If you've had x-rays taken within the past year, we can use them if you bring them with you.
We strive to improve the overall health of our patients by focusing on preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions associated with your teeth and gums.
Please use our dental library to learn more about dental problems and available treatments.
If you have questions or need to schedule an appointment, contact us.
By performing a clinical examination and by studying a complete set of x-rays, we can answer this question for you.
We are happy to present and discuss all the options for improvement that today's dentistry has to offer.
Con hacerle un examen clinica y estudiando las radiografias completas, podemos contestarle esa pregunta.
Nos agradece presentar y hablar sobre todas las opciones para mejorar su salud oral que ofrece la odontologia hoy en dia.
The following page shows the most common dental x-rays, why we take them, and how frequently we recommend they be taken.
X-rays enable us to detect dental problems in the early stages, when treatment is less invasive and less costly.
It is our preferred view for the initial exam as it gives us a quick and easy snapshot of what's happening in your mouth.
It provides the best view for evaluating wisdom teeth.
Since nothing has to go inside the mouth, the panoramic X-ray is comfortable even for the most severe gagger.
