Services
A dental crown or cap is a cover placed over the tooth to strengthen, reshape and improve the appearance of a tooth.
It has a natural appearance that improves your smile and is fully functional for chewing.
It takes two or one visits to place a permanent crown.
In the first visit, we prepare the affected area for your crown by removing decaying, shaping the tooth and creating a temporary.
Based on a particular situation we may make a permanent crown restoration at the first visit using computer 3D technology.
Professional teeth whitening, or "bleaching, " is used to correct teeth discoloration resulting from stains, chemical damage, smoking, aging or a combination thereof.
It is the best complimentary treatment for people with healthy teeth and gums.
If your teeth have a yellow tone, this procedure whitens your teeth for a whiter smile.
The whitening of teeth is done by releasing oxygen from the whitening gel that we supply.
Once the gel is applied to the surface of your teeth, the oxygen penetrates through your tooth enamel, which is generally translucent and then whitens the underlying tissue known as "dentin".
The mouth, gums and jawbone are numbed with a local anesthetic if you are getting one tooth extracted or a general anesthetic if multiple teeth need to be extracted.
This will help you relax during the procedure.
You will feel pressure.
The reason you will feel pressure and not pain is because the nerves are numb so you will not feel any pain.
You will likely experience soreness, stiffness, bleeding, limited physical activity and driving.
You can learn more in our post-operative instructions as well as contact us with questions or concerns.
Ever growing amount of people wishing to improve their looks are opting for nonsurgical treatments like musclerelaxing/wrinkle reducing injections and dermal fillers instead of going under the knife, making it the fastest growing segment among all cosmetic procedures.
The inner tissues of our skin such as collagen and fat help us looking youthful.
They start to break down as we age, often leaving us the unwanted lines that most of the time related to the muscles of facial expression, i.e. the smile lines, the crow's feet and deep creases over the area where movement occurs resulting for you to look aged.
With the most recent discoveries supporting the importance of oral health for overall well-being it is hardly a secret for anyone that a beautiful smile is not just only a requisite of a healthy and youthful appearance.
Far more than this, multiple recent studies conducted in medical centers all over the world show direct links between oral health and cardiovascular diseases, autoimmune disorders and gastrointestinal problems.
Having recognized this long time ago, we at our Naples dental practice, pay special attention to ensuring that we treat you in conjunction with your overall health condition.
