Your baby's first dental visit should occur when their first tooth comes in, or by their first birthday.
The first dental visit is usually short and involves very little treatment.
This visit gives your child an opportunity to meet the dentist in a non-threatening and friendly way.
During the visit, you will be seated in the dental chair with your child on your lap if your child isn't able to - or doesn't want to - sit in the chair alone.
The dentist will check all of your child's existing teeth for decay, examine your child's bite, and look for any potential problems with the gums, jaw, and oral tissues.

Below is an overview of what you and your child can expect during your first visit to All Star Pediatric Dentistry.
Your child's first visit is not only about our team getting to know them, but also about them getting to know our team.
In the time we spend together, we encourage your child (and you) to ask questions, express your concerns, and share with us anything they want us to know to help make their care as individual as they are.
We will take a brief medical history and ask for a list of any medications including vitamins and supplements they may be taking.
