Dr. Pawl was born in Chicago in 1959 and has been a resident of California since 1963.
He moved to San Diego in 1987 after graduating from dental school at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
He opened his first practice in 1988 and has been in private practice in San Diego since that time.
To become a fellow, Dr. Pawl completed over 500 hours of continuing education and had to pass the A.G.D.'s fellowship exam.
