He was known to be the first dentist in Jacksonville to incorporate the comfort of high-speed dental hand pieces.
He pioneered the use of overdentures using the roots of few remaining healthy teeth.
These overdentures were like modern-day implant-supported dentures.
Dr. Joe was an internationally known lecturer who authored a dental textbook on overdentures, An Atlas of Overdentures and Attachments.
