Services
Auburn Dental Center is the realization of a dream that started many years ago with a young dentist named David Shively, a native resident of Bakersfield, CA.
After graduating from dental school in 1977, Dr. Shively returned to Bakersfield, where he practiced and built his skills under a general dentist, whom trained and mentored him into a full fledge, experienced dental practitioner.
Soon after, Dr. Shively decided to open his own practice and continued to take care of the residents of Bakersfield.

Crowns and bridges are fixed dental prosthetic devices that are bonded onto natural teeth or implants to improve their functionality.
They are the most commonly used restorative devices.
Gaps left by missing teeth are unhealthy for your oral health and lead to numerous orthodontic issues and joint disorders.
Bridges are cemented onto natural teeth to close these gaps created due to tooth loss.
They carry crowns which are bonded to the teeth adjacent to the gap and a replacement tooth, called a pontic, closes the gap.

Laser dentistry uses a thin, concentrated beam of light energy to perform dental procedures.
Laser or light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation provides a precise, comfortable and safe treatment option.
Lasers also accelerate in-office tooth whitening procedures by releasing the oxidizing agents packed in the whitening gels.
Laser dentistry uses a laser to penetrate the soft and hard tissues.
It does not involve any pressure, heat, or vibration, which become a cause of discomfort and pain.
