Purvi Zavery, DDS MS
Here at Peninsula Children's Dentistry, our mission is to provide specialized and comprehensive dental care for infants, children, teens, and patients with special needs in a friendly and safe environment, with a focus on prevention and education for families. Dr. Purvi Zavery is a unique kind of dentist. With her kid-oriented style and fun personality, Dr. Purvi gets children excited about dental care, and helps them to develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime.

Our family-oriented dental practice is built on love for children and the desire to make them comfortable with dentistry. We view each child as a unique individual who must be treated as such to accomplish our goals of a positive dental experience and quality care. We hope to establish a lifelong relationship of trust and confidence with you and your child.

Part of our gentle approach includes creating a comfortable and fun environment for children. Our team is committed to family-oriented dental care and we encourage parents to play an active role in their son or daughter's oral health.
Services
Dr. Purvi Zavery always knew she wanted to be a pediatric dentist.
So after earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific School of Dentistry where she was awarded the Drs.
Charles, Charles Jr., and Joe Sweet Award for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry, her passion for children led her to complete a three-year pediatric dental residency at the prestigious University of California San Francisco, where she studied and practiced optimal ways to treat the dental needs of children.
We understand your child's need to receive treatment in a practice where he or she feels comfortable, safe, and welcome.
Please feel free to schedule an appointment or stop by for a complete tour of our practice.
You will get to meet our team, walk through our office and treatment areas, and learn more about the treatments we provide.
Our new office is conveniently located next to Walgreens and Trader Joe's on El Camino Real in San Carlos (between Belmont and Redwood City).
It is located in a modern building with its own dedicated parking.
This office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available.
Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with them for their comfort.
School children who have a lot of work to be done should be seen in the morning for the same reason.
Since appointed times are reserved exclusively for each patient, we ask that you please notify our office 2 business days in advance of your scheduled time if you are unable to keep your appointment.
The cost of treatment may vary, depending on your child's individual needs and treatment plan.
We will discuss the cost of treatment and each of your available payment plan options with you before your child begins treatment, so you can make the best choice for your child and your family.
Your son or daughter's smile can last forever, and we want to make it as easy as possible to receive the best dental care whenever needed.
Our office staff is always available to help you with insurance claims and paperwork.
A child's first visit to the dentist should be enjoyable.
Children are not born with a natural fear of the dentist, but they can fear the unknown.
Our office makes a special effort to use pleasant, non-frightening, simple words to describe each treatment.
We want you and your child to feel at ease from the moment your family arrives at our office.
Children should visit the dentist by their first birthday.
It is important that your child's newly erupted teeth (erupting at six to 12 months of age) receive proper dental care and benefit from proper oral hygiene habits right from the beginning.
