Bismarck Dentistry is a new, family owned dental office in north Bismarck. We pride ourselves in taking the time to know each patient on a personal level and helping them achieve their dental goals, with a fun and positive attitude. Dr. Daniel Van Buskirk has been a dentist for 23 years. He practiced in Rugby, ND from 1998 to 2005, at which time he sold his practice and moved back to his home state of Missouri to open a new practice near his family.
While practicing in Missouri, Dr. Van Buskirk and his family deeply missed the great state and the great people of North Dakota. He finally decided to bring his family back to North Dakota and build his last and most amazing office, in this great community. Dr. Daniel Van Buskirk and his wife, Paula, have 3 children, all boys. The eldest is a sophomore at University of North Dakota, and the youngest, twins, are attending University of Jamestown, all of which are studying pre-dental.
Preventative dentistry is the most important service we have to offer you.

Services
A crown is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring it to its original shape and size.
A full coverage crown protects and strengthens tooth structure that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations.
A veneer covers the front and sides of your tooth and leaves more of your natural tooth structure.
Although there are several types of crowns, porcelain (matched exactly to your natural tooth shade) are the most popular and aesthetically pleasing.
They are highly durable and will last many years, but like most dental restorations, they may eventually need to be replaced.

Dental implants are a great way to replace missing teeth and can sometimes provide a fixed solution to having removable partial(s) or complete dentures.
When there is adequate bone or adequate bone can be obtained through grafting, implants can provide excellent support and stability for these dental appliances.
Dental implants are artificial roots (made from titanium) that will be completed with artificial teeth.
Dental implants are surgically placed into the upper or lower jaw bone by a dentist or specialist.

Root Canal Therapy is needed when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay causing a communication of the infected tissue with, the body or by trauma to the tooth that causes the nerve area inside the tooth to die leaving the dead nerve tissue to infect the body.
In order to save the tooth the pulp (the tissue inside the tooth canal), nerve, bacteria, and any decay are removed and the remaining space is filled with a special, hypoallergenic material to restore the tooth to full function.
Having a Root Canal done on a tooth can be the treatment of choice to save a tooth that otherwise would have to be removed.
