My staff and I would like to warmly welcome you and your child to our pediatric dental practice. I appreciate your trust in choosing our practice to treat your child's oral health care needs and strive to make your child's dental treatment experience both POSITIVE AND PLEASANT. I am proud to offer my patients a small friendly office that offers highly personalized treatment.

I believe that your child's oral health is a team effort with the pediatric dentist, dental hygienist and parent(s). That's why I WELCOME PARENTS TO ACCOMPANY THEIR CHILD DURING TREATMENT. My mission is for your child to have a positive early dental experience that leads to life-long healthy oral and dental hygiene habits. As I see my patients I ask myself "If this were my child, what treatment would I want them to have".

We believe that REGULAR ORAL PREVENTATIVE CARE TREATMENTS ARE CRITICAL TO LONG-TERM ORAL HEALTH and should be established early in life. What gives me the most satisfaction is seeing a child's first visit transform from initial apprehensive to a positive experience.
Services
Here at the office of Dr. Myriam Cerezo, we are proud to specialize in pediatric dentistry.
We truly believe in starting children off right when it comes to their dental health.
It is our goal to ensure that each visit goes well so that they think of the dentist's office as a good place.
Our entire staff is wonderful with children, allowing them to relax while we care for their teeth.
We are also here for you, the parents.
We know how important (yet difficult) it is to take care of your children's teeth at home.
Dr. Myriam Cerezo attended the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
After dental school, she completed a 2 year pediatric dental residency at the Children's Hospital of Dayton, Ohio.
Upon completing her residency, she moved to the Philadelphia area and opened her practice in Bensalem, PA in 1990.
In 2003, she moved her practice to its current location in Holland, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Cerezo remains active in several national and local dental societies.
Her mission is for your child to have a positive early dental experience that leads to life-long healthy oral and dental hygiene habits.
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age.
Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive.
If old enough, your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and their staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions.
The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.
The very young, pre-teens, and teenagers all need different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding their dental growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental problems.
The pediatric dentist is best qualified to meet these needs.
It is very important to maintain the health of the primary teeth.
Toothache: Clean the area of the affected tooth.
Rinse the mouth thoroughly with warm water or use dental floss to dislodge any food that may be impacted.
If the pain still exists, contact your child's dentist.
Do not place aspirin or heat on the gum or on the aching tooth.
If the face is swollen, apply cold compresses and contact your dentist immediately.
Cut or Bitten Tongue, Lip or Cheek: Apply ice to injured areas to help control swelling.
If there is bleeding, apply firm but gentle pressure with a gauze or cloth.
