She received her dental hygiene degree from South Florida State College and graduated with the highest distinction, "Summa Cum laude."
Candy is an active professional member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA), the Florida Dental Hygienists' Association (FDHA), and her local component, the Atlantic Coast Dental Hygienists' Association (ACDHA).
She currently servers as the Highlands County Representative for the ACDHA and is the 2020 recipient of the Swann D. Knowles Award, which honors one hygienist from the state of Florida for their grassroots efforts in service and dedication to the dental hygiene profession.
