Caring: We make every effort to be understanding, and are genuinely concerned for your child's well-being and comfort.
Teamwork: We understand that by working collaboratively we can provide the best care for your family.
This includes the doctors, our entire dental team, and you and your child.
In the same way that pediatricians are trained to meet a child's medical needs, pediatric dentists are specifically trained to address your child's oral health.
In addition to 4 years of college and 4 years of dental school, both Dr. Shannon and Dr. Capalbo have undergone an additional 2 years of specialty residency training.

As soon as your child has teeth, there is potential for tooth decay; therefore, your child's first dental visit should be scheduled by his/her first birthday or within 6 months of the first tooth erupting.
We are asked this question many times.
We suggest that you prepare your child the same way that you would before their first haircut or trip to the shoe store.
This will not be the frightening experience you may remember from your youth.
If you are nervous about the visit, then the less you say the better.
