Fillings can repair your tooth if it is affected by minor cracks, decay, or fractures.
By closing off spaces where bacteria can enter, a filling also helps prevent further decay.
In just one visit, the compromised section of your tooth is removed, while your remaining tooth will be cleaned and then filled.
Fillings are the most common type of dental restoration used today and in the history of dentistry.
Composite fillings, or tooth-colored fillings, provide good durability and resistance to fracture in small- to mid-size fillings that need to withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing.
