We specialize in treating infants, children and teenagers; our goal is to work with your child in our gentle and educational environment to help them maintain a beautiful and healthy smile for their lifetime. Hill and Stout, along with their dedicated and highly trained staff, welcomed Dr. Marc Horton to the Playhouse Dental Team. Each of us is committed to making your child's visit as comfortable, supportive and stress-free as possible.
Take a look around our website - we've provided a wide variety of educational information including what to expect at your child's first visit, tips on dental health, and how to handle a dental emergency. For more than 20 years, Playhouse Dental has been a trusted pediatric dental care provider and resource for families throughout Island and Skagit Counties.
My son had his first ever dental appointment and the hygienist was so friendly and kind and took her time to show him what each instrument did and had him help her. After his cleaning the Dentist came over and was so nice and patient.

Building your child's confidence about going to the dentist is key to our child-centered philosophy!
Today's dental office is a far cry from the dental offices of even a few years ago - today's technology provides us with tools that keep your child's safety at the forefront, and state-of-the-art techniques specifically designed for pediatric dentistry.

Karen is the smiling voice that often answers when you call Playhouse Dental.
She has taken on the role of "Team Leader" up front, otherwise known as "Mama Bear."
She was born in Mississippi but has lived in many different states over the past 18 years as a proud Navy wife.
Two sons have followed their daddy into military service, and keeping tabs on the active teenager still at home keeps her hopping.
When not working, Karen enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family.
While far from her roots, she has fallen in love with the scenic beauty of Whidbey Island.
