He has been a dentist for years and has been through several post graduate courses in different fields of dentistry since receiving his D.D.S. degree. Dr. Acuna studied at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru graduating in 1989.
He moved to the United States in the mid-90's and studied at New York University College of Dentistry, obtaining his degree of Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2005. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Tordoya went for further studies in Prosthodontics (a dental specialty that deals with complex cases of teeth replacement) and completed one year Fellowship at New Jersey Dental School.
He is also a recipient of multiple awards during his career as a dental student and as a dental professional in Peru and the United States.
