You will find a computer monitor placed specifically in front of the patient for them to view radiographs, photographs, periodontal probing status, charting or educational materials which assists with the patient obtaining an understanding of the information relayed by Dr. Schmidt and/or her team. For our younger patients, we have videos available on these screens.
Services
Dr. Judith K.K. Schmidt attended Minot State University for biology, chemistry, and economics.
Dr. Schmidt then entered the University of Minnesota School Of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
She then completed a one year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.
The additional education and training she received during that year enabled her to provide additional services to the residents of the Wahpeton, Breckenridge and the surrounding communities.
All of our sedation services are provided by local CRNA's.
At The Clinic for Oral Health our CRNA's ensure each patients comfort by providing a moderate level of sedation.
Our CRNA's also provide anesthesia services for hospitals within the SE North Dakota area, therefore we ask our patients who are seeking these services to commit to their reserved appointment times.
Our front staff will go through our sedation service reservation policies before scheduling and upon request of patients seeking these services.
Nitrous Oxide, known to many as laughing gas, is the most commonly used form of sedation in dentistry.
It is administered by having the patient inhale the gas, which is carefully monitored by your doctor.
You will fall into a euphoric state and feel completely relaxed.
All feelings of fear and anxiety fade away, leaving you to sit back peacefully while your dental procedure is performed.
Nitrous oxide sedation is very safe and effective.
Once the procedure is over the nitrous oxide will wear off fairly quickly, and you will probably be able to drive yourself home and return to your daily activities.
While at our office, we make sure that you receive the highest level of service and ensure that our dental work is of the highest quality.
To ensure that you maintain great oral health, this level of quality needs to extend into your personal oral hygiene routine.
We can help you establish a dental hygiene routine that will keep your teeth healthy and white.
If you have any questions about your current hygiene plan please ask us.
Your teeth are not the only important part of your mouth.
Your gums are essential to oral hygiene as well.
Veneers are an excellent way to redesign and reshape your smile.
Veneers are a very thin ceramic shell that covers your existing tooth structure.
In placing these new veneers on your teeth, you are able to fix the look of issues such as staining, cracked teeth, spaces, misaligned teeth, chipped teeth and many other issues.
In terms of the process to place veneers, it is a process that takes approximately two to three visits.
In the first visit, we will discuss the new shape and look of what we are going to accomplish by placing the veneers.
