Dr. Faler was born and raised in Hattiesburg, MS and grew up working summers in his father's periodontal practice where he gained an early interest in dentistry. Dr. Mindy Gil grew up in sunny southern California.
After completing her bachelor's degree in Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University, she continued her studies at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) for her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
Following her passion for oral-systemic link of our health, she pursued her studies and earned specialty certificate in periodontology and Doctor of Medical Science in Oral Biology (DMSc) from HSDM.
She is a board certified diplomate of American Academy of periodontology.
After completing her bachelor's degree in Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University, she continued her studies at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) for her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

After dental school, she pursued a 3-year postdoctoral residency in the field of Periodontics and Implantology at Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Dentistry in New Orleans, LA, where she earned a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and a Specialty Certificate in Periodontics.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from University of Houston in 2014, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX in 2018.

We will complete an in depth medical and dental health history and a thorough examination to measure for bone loss, loose teeth, bite, oral cancer screening, TMJ and other signs of periodontal disease.
