As Pediatric Dentist Specialists, we strive to help children grow into adulthood with healthy dental habits.
Establishing and maintaining good oral health early will radically reduce a child's chances of developing decay and infection later.
We also can often detect issues in early development that can cause other serious problems later.
Our doctors encourage you to bring your child in for his or her first visit by one year of age or when they get their first tooth.
This recommendation is in line with those of the American Dentist Association (ADA), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).

The first visit can lay the groundwork for happy visits to the pediatric dentist in the future.
If your child is old enough to understand, feel free to tell them about the visit ahead of time.
Our Pediatric Dentists and staff will explain what will happen with each step and answer all of the child's questions at the appointment.
This helps a child not to get overly worried or frightened before starting.
Our team has made it a standard to use words that are more pleasant and not as scary to your child, while still conveying exactly what is going to happen.
