Your feedback is very important to us, so let us know about any improvements we can make for your next dental visit. We are committed to making your oral health and smile the best it can be. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
We are currently taking temperatures of all patients that come in and temperatures of all staff to keep everyone safe. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office.

Amber received her dental assistant certificate from Lane Community College and began work for her family dentist, Dr. Melvin Johnson in 1970.
She was his chair side assistant and loved the patients and friendly banter that gave his practice its relaxed atmosphere.
She married Brad in 1971 and continued to work for Dr. Mel "more or less" during the time their four children were born.
In 1991, after a few years of retirement, she began working for Dr. Doug Johnson, this time in the front office.

Clean between teeth daily with floss or an interdental cleaner.
Decay causing bacteria still linger between teeth where toothbrush bristles can't reach.
This helps remove plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gum line.
Antimicrobial mouth rinses and toothpastes reduce the bacterial count and inhibit bacterial activity in dental plaque, which can cause gingivitis, an early, reversible form of periodontal (gum) disease.
ADA-Accepted antimicrobial mouth rinses and toothpastes have substantiated these claims by demonstrating significant reductions in plaque and gingivitis.

Dental fillings fall into two categories based on the method used to place them.
They are: direct restorations and indirect restorations.
Direct restorations are fillings placed immediately into a prepared cavity in a single visit.
They include dental amalgam, glass ionomers, resin ionomers and most composite (resin) fillings.
The dentist prepares the tooth, places the filling and adjusts it during one appointment.
Indirect restorations may require two or more visits.
They include inlays, onlays, veneers, crowns and bridges fabricated with gold, ceramics or composites.
