Services
Dr. Quynh Bui first fell in love with dentistry when having braces put on during high school.
Dr. Bui earned the prestigious moniker "triple jumbo" for completing her undergraduate degree, doctorate, and pediatric specialty all at Tufts University and Tufts University of Dental Medicine.
During her time there, she was awarded both the Osher and Merritt scholarships.
She was also the recipient of the Dr. Waldemar Brehm Scholarship in the Early Treatment of Malocclusion in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Bui is currently a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
Minh was inspired to become a dentist by her older sister, Dr. Quynh Bui.
Dr. Minh graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, then followed her older sister to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
While in school, you would often spot her assisting Dr. Quynh Bui during her school breaks.
Dr. Minh enjoys working alongside her sister at their practice and continuing to provide the excellent care patients have come to expect at Rockingham Pediatric Dental.
Preventative care is the backbone of pediatric dentistry and includes comprehensive exams and dental cleanings (teeth cleaning) to maintain healthy teeth, x-ray images to diagnose issues beneath the surface, and fluoride treatments and sealants to prevent cavities.
This is the part of your appointment where diagnoses are made.
An oral exam is suggested every six months to help prevent cavities and other dental issues.
During each exam, the mouth, head, and neck are all examined to check for abnormalities.
Even with careful home hygiene, restorative dental services are sometimes needed.
Restorative dentistry treatments repair damage to teeth, restoring strength, function, and usually appearance.
Restorative services include fillings, pulp treatment, and dental crowns.
On occasions when a tooth cannot be saved, extractions may be necessary to restore oral health.
If it is your child's first time receiving restorative dental treatment with us, we always try our best to go over the procedure with them and answer any and all questions they may have or us!
Early interceptive treatment, commonly known as early treatment or phase one, allows the dentist to influence development of the jaw and tooth alignment while children are still growing.
By correcting jaw development early on, we can minimize length and complication of comprehensive orthodontic treatment down the road otherwise known as phase two.
Early interceptive orthodontic treatment can be done in the form of space maintainers and/or palate expanders.
The procedures for these general orthodontics are very simple and are typically shorter than traditional comprehensive orthodontic treatment, such as braces.
