Houston has always been my second home - my mother graduated from Spring Woods High School and my family spent summers visiting my grandparents in Spring Branch, where they lived after my grandfather's retirement from Chapelwood United Methodist Church.
At Rice, I fell in love with Veronica Flores, a fellow student from the Rio Grande Valley; she became a great reason to stay in Texas after I graduated!
