Dr. Sommer was born and raised in Coldwater, Ohio along with her three sisters and four brothers.
She grew up on a dairy farm where she spent her time helping, playing and learning what hard work is all about.
Dr. Sommer can recall wanting to be a dentist ever since the third grade.
She has fond memories of her childhood dentist, Dr. Forsthofel, being so kind and gentle.
