Dr. Dumpert was born and raised in Bedford.
After graduating from Bedford High School, he obtained his Bachelor's degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with a major of Natural Science and minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology.
Dr. Dumpert then completed dental school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Dumpert has a strong desire to help those in need, and while in dental school, he was able to organize, lead, and participate in dental mission trips to Honduras three years in a row, and provide greatly needed dental care to rural Honduras.
