In my seven years of being a dentist, I often hear from patients that they don't think their teeth are important.
I always hear "It's just teeth."
In reality, teeth and the entire mouth are part of the body just like any other part of the body and it is not possible to have a healthy body with a diseased mouth.
Nobody would ever say "It's just my hand" or "It's just my liver" so why would people say "It's just teeth."
There have been countless studies done showing links being gum disease and diabetes, heart attack, cancer, and stroke.
