He received his Associate of Arts degree from Oxford College of Emory University.
He then attended Georgia Southwestern State University, applied to dental school as a junior and was accepted to the Medical College of Georgia.
He received his DMD degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1992 and began practicing in Cordele.
He is a member of the American Dental Association(R), the Georgia Dental Association, the Central District Dental Society and the Albany Periodontics-Restorative Club.
