Lottie Sayre is the lead dental assistant at Midway Family Dental. Lottie is sure to keep things running smoothly in the clinic by always greeting patients with a smile, assisting Dr. Riley chair-side, and completing the appointment by getting the patient scheduled for their next visit. When she is not assisting Dr. Riley, she is preparing the patients' crowns and implants for the lab.
Her dental career began 10 years ago as a Hygienist assistant in 2001. She then went on to complete her polishing certificate in 2004 and EDDA certification in 2015. She loves our patients and the MFD team, as it is the teamwork and the joy of learning something new each day that drives her to always go above and beyond. She fully embraces the Midway community by visiting other local businesses on her time off.
When she is not in Midway, you will find her spending time with her family, traveling, and attending her church. Kayleigh works directly with our patients to schedule appointments as well as getting patients checked-in for their visit.

There is a large percentage of our population who desires an approach to dentistry that is gentler and more preventive in nature than standard conventional methods.
Preventing dental decay and gum disease with conservative measures is very straight forward but requires a completely different philosophy from the dentist and dental team members.
There is no question that the health of the mouth has an effect on your overall health.
There is new research coming out almost daily making very strong connections between oral health and heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and many other inflammatory based diseases.

With our patients' health our primary concern, we take the time to educate everyone as to our procedures and protocols.
Most dental practices have moved away from silver mercury fillings for obvious toxicity concerns and gone to what are called white composite fillings.
But not all white fillings are the same.
There is an emerging concern over some of the chemicals used in the most common white composite fillings placed in most dental practices.
Fillings made with what is called BisGMA may contain Bisphenol A. There is growing speculation over potential estrogen-mimicking effects of plastic chemicals like Bisphenol A. The materials that we use do not contain Bisphenol A or B and because this material uses less resin, it tests very high for biocompatibility.

Cosmetic dentistry is a group of procedures that result in an improvement in the appearance of your teeth.
The improvements can be made in color, position, shape, size, alignment, and overall smile appearance.
We utilize a variety of approaches to achieve your desired results.
Veneers involve the bonding of an eggshell thickness of porcelain to the front surface of a tooth.
It results in dramatic, long term, changes in color, shape, and alignment.
A minimally invasive procedure that can often replace crowns, A inlay removes only a minimal amount of tooth structure and replaces it with a porcelain or composite restoration.

When you have a tooth that has deteriorated to the point where a filling is not possible, It is often recommended that an individual consider a crown.
A crown covers the entire tooth and protects and strengthens it.
Normally made out of porcelain or zirconium, they offer outstanding aesthetics and are a long-lasting solution.
