Services
I've been with Sinnis Family Dental since 2000.
I started as a dental assistant but have been the office manager for the past 14 years.
Besides scheduling, filing and setting appointments, I'm also the one fighting to make sure you receive all of the dental benefits your insurance owes you.
If you have insurance questions, I'm your girl!
When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my family.
I've been with my husband for 15 years and have 2 great daughters, a step-daughter and two grandchildren, McKenna, and Kase.
First, I'd like to start off by thanking you for allowing us the opportunity to provide dental care to you and your family.
We will never take that responsibility lightly, I assure you.
I spent most of my life growing up in Northwest Indiana.
I met my wife in high school and despite my plans to marry after graduating dental school, we wed right after I was accepted.
This became more of a blessing than I would have ever expected.
My wife helped me through dental school by providing moral, emotional and financial support.
Orthodontics is a special branch of dentistry that mainly deals with correcting the alignment of teeth.
The most popular dental appliances used in orthodontic treatment are dental braces, owing to their amazing effectiveness.
Dental braces are composed of two major components, namely brackets and wires.
Brackets are attached to the teeth with the help of dental adhesives, whereas the metal wires are run through the brackets, and their ends are fastened to provide the required anchorage.
The dentist tightens or loosens the wires to adjust the pressure applied on the teeth, thereby controlling their movement.
Dental bridges are the simplest, and most-preferred means to restore a missing tooth.
They are made from dental-grade ceramic and do not require surgery to be placed in position.
They are worthy alternatives to dental implants, and patients who wish to get a tooth replaced in a short span of time without any complications can choose them.
Bridges completely fill the gap left by the missing tooth, thus keeping the adjoining teeth from drifting from their positions.
They are quite simple, and the procedure for placing a bridge can be completed in two visits to the dentist's practice.
A tooth extraction would be necessary to remove a badly infected or damaged tooth.
It will be removed in its entirety to prevent pain, the spread of the infection and avoid any further complications that it could cause.
However, failing to fill the gap left by the missing tooth can hinder the mouth's functionality and ruin the appearance of the smile.
A dental implant is often considered the best way to replace a missing tooth.
A titanium stud will serve as the tooth root, whereas a ceramic prosthetic will replace the tooth crown.

I absolutely love all the dental assistants! Tammy at the front desk is so compassionate & caring. Also hilarious;) Dr Sinnis is one of the nicest dentists that I have ever met. His first goal is to make sure you're comfortable and happy. I just went through a full extraction on my top teeth & he helped with my denture. I was so happy I cried. He's fantastic and the girls there are amazing! I will never go anywhere else!

My kids and I have been coming to Sinnis Family Dental for about 16 yrs now and we love the prompt, friendly service. I am a chicken when it comes to the dentist but I have no fear coming to Dr. Sinnis because I know he is very compassionate and gentle. I now have grandkids and they will be coming here too as we know he is very good with pediatric dentistry! We love you all at Sinnis Family Dental!!
