Hilliard Pediatric Dentistry
Hilliard Pediatric Dentistry offers decades of experience in dental care for infants, children, and adolescents. A pediatric dentist develops special talents, skills, and knowledge for working with children. Like a pediatrician, a pediatric dentist is able to more effectively care for the dental needs of young people. Pediatric dentistry continues to evolve, but a visit to the dentist can still be a scary thing for little ones.

Our staff creates an environment where children can feel comfortable going to the dentist. We use techniques recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) to ensure each appointment is successful for both us and your child. Skill and compassion = a winning combination for everyone. Locally recognized as a top children's dentist, Dr. Jojo brings nearly three decades of experience and compassion to her work.

In addition to cleanings and exams, we offer a full range of dental services, including the use of Silver Diamine. We stay current with the latest dentistry techniques and tools, including ICON resin infiltration to remove tooth blemishes.

She went on to complete her residency at both Loyola University Dental School in Chicago and at Mott Children's Health Center/Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, in 1994.
Ever since, she has lived her passion every day.
Dr. Jojo has been practicing pediatric dentistry for more than 25 years, providing the highest standard of dental care for young patients from her Hilliard, Ohio office.
Starting from the time the first tooth erupts to their last visit, we'll keep your children on a schedule of good preventive care.
Preventive care for children includes regular cleaning and exams, sealants and fluoride treatments, frenectomy if needed, and even preliminary orthodontic planning.
Babies: We recommend seeing your child at age one or when the first tooth erupts, whichever comes first.
Baby teeth serve as placeholders for adult teeth so they need to be checked as soon as they are visible as they are vulnerable to tooth decay.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends all children visit the dentist every six months for an exam and cleaning.
We'll let you know if we recommend more or fewer visits than recommended based on your child's situation.
Fostering good nutrition by enabling proper chewing without the pain of tooth decay or infection.
Baby teeth are vulnerable to tooth decay just like adult teeth.
Untreated tooth decay in a child of any age can lead to infection, loss of teeth, and interventions.
In fact, a scientific paper in the Journal of Pediatric Dentistry revealed that children who wait to have their first dental visit until age 2 or 3 are more likely to need restorative or emergency dental visits.
Silver diamine fluoride, also known as "SDF", is a topical medicine used to treat cavities.
The application of SDF is painless, fast, and non-invasive.
Local anesthesia and removal of tooth structure are not required, making SDF a good treatment option for almost all patients, including those with the most severe dental anxiety.
SDF is also a great treatment for cavities in children who are too young for traditional filling or crown procedures.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends SDF as a treatment option for managing cavities in primary (baby) teeth.
