Services
Your child should visit the dentist by his/her 1st birthday.
You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive.
Your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and his staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions.
The less to-do concerning the visit, the better.
Please discuss the positive aspects of dentistry with your child.
One way to convey good feelings to your child about dental visits is to remind them that going to the dentist is a sign that they are "growing up."
We are located at the southeast corner of East Prosper Trail and Coit Road in Prosper, Texas.
We are just a short distance from Frisco, McKinney, Anna, Melissa, Van Alstyne, Denton, Aubrey, Pilot Point, Celina, Gunter, Tioga, Little Elm, Savannah, and Providence Village.
If your child is not feeling well, we ask that you reschedule his/her appointment.
Not only do we want to keep our staff healthy, but coming to the dentist when not feeling well is no fun!
I need to bring my child in for an exam with both the Orthodontist and the Pediatric Dentist.
We recommend that you make an appointment to see the dentist as soon as your child gets his first tooth.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children be seen by six months after their first tooth erupts, or at one year of age, whichever comes first.
All dental specialists (pediatric dentists, orthodontists, oral surgeons, and others) begin by completing dental school and continue their education with several years of additional, specialized training.
During training in the field of pediatric dentistry, your doctor gained extensive knowledge and experience in treating infants, children, and adolescents.
Orthodontics (also referred to as dentofacial orthopedics) is a specialized form of dentistry focusing on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial abnormalities.
An orthodontist is a dental specialist who has received two to three years of additional training and experience.
Your orthodontist is able to straighten teeth, correct misaligned jaw structure, and improve the function of your smile.
If you want to improve the look and feel of your smile, then any age can be a great age to see the orthodontist.
While there is no exact age for children to begin orthodontic treatment, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around age seven.
By this age, most children have a mix of baby teeth and adult teeth, making it easier for the orthodontist to diagnose and correct tooth and jaw problems sooner and without surgery.
Correct and guide the growth of your child's jaw to help the permanent teeth come in straight.
Braces aren't nearly as scary as you may think.
In fact, braces today come in a variety of styles, materials, and colors, making life with braces much easier, more comfortable, and even more stylish than in the past.
