Callis attended UConn Dental School with a year of residency at Hartford Hospital. Callis is an active member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA), Shoreline Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the River Valley/Seattle Study Club.
He regularly attends continuing education sessions, and has been the chairperson of the CSDA New Dentist Committee, and an active member of its Continuing Education Committee.
