Services
Adults and kids alike can benefit from the boost in self-confidence that comes from having a great-looking smile with beautifully aligned teeth.
Orthodontic treatment can even improve chewing, speaking and oral hygiene in certain cases.
And with today's virtually invisible orthodontic appliances, it's possible to keep your treatment a private matter.
Some bite problems are much easier to treat if they are caught at an early age.
That's why all children should have an orthodontic evaluation by age 7, even if it's not yet time to begin treatment.
Below is the information you need about our hours, location, appointment scheduling, insurance acceptance and billing.
We make our best effort to find appointment times that are convenient for our patients.
Obviously, it is not possible to schedule everyone after school.
We reserve this time for regular adjustments and retainer checks because they are short visits that allow the fewest number of patients to miss school.
Longer appointments that require significant individual attention (such as consultations or placement/removal of appliances) are usually scheduled earlier in the day.
Dr. Waters grew up watching his father, an orthodontist in a small community in northern New York, build relationships with his patients by running a small, two chair practice.
Like his dad, he enjoys and prefers to provide the majority of the patient care himself rather than delegating to assistants.
Dr. Waters encourages and welcomes parents in the treatment area.
He is a teacher at heart.
He likes talking and spending time with each patient to ensure that they are well informed at each step of their treatment and have ample time to ask questions.
For many teens, braces are a rite of passage: They're one more example of the changes adolescents go through at this time - along with growth in stature, edgier tastes in clothes and music, and an increasing degree of self-awareness.
But is there any particular reason why orthodontic appliances and teenagers seem to go together?
In a word: Yes.
There are several good reasons why adolescence is the optimal time for orthodontic treatment, though occasionally even earlier intervention is called for.
There are more and more adult orthodontic patients these days, and it's not hard to figure out why.
Appliances that are barely noticeable have been developed to give adults more discreet choices when it comes to orthodontic treatment.
And many adults realize that investing in a smile makeover can have significant benefits, socially and professionally.
Straightening teeth can be an important part of that confidence-boosting makeover process.
Healthy teeth can be moved at any age, so there's no such thing as being too old for braces.
