Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
We will also take x-rays, which includes the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.
Implants are synthetic structures that are placed in the area of the tooth normally occupied by the root.

Dr. John W. Cox graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he received a B.S. degree in Biology.
In 1997, he graduated from the University of Illinois at College of Dentistry receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Cox is a member of the NC Dental Society along with the Western Piedmont Dental Society.
Doctor Cox has certificates in Invisalign, Laser Dentistry, and Dental Implants.
