Our mission is to treat every child like they are our own! We strongly believe in showing and explaining everything to create trust between your child and our team. We allow a parent to be in the room during the exam and even treatment if you choose. As parents, we understand the need to be there with your child. At Kids City Dental and braces, our goal is to treat each child comprehensively.

We don't just treat teeth, but we monitor and intervene if necessary to promote the correct growth and development of your child's mouth. Some parents may not be aware that there are developmental issues and habits, as early as a birth that can cause unbalanced facial growth which can lead to crowding of the teeth. At our office, our goal is to help your child keep their baby smile healthy and to grow into their best adult smile.

Clean office and super friendly staff. The doctor took the time to explain everything to me and my kids and make them feel comfortable. The best experience we've had at a pediatric dentist!
Services
We welcome your kids to Kids City Dental and braces.
Drs.
McFarlins and team love working and interacting with children.
For us it is more than teeth, we want to educate and provide a comfortable setting for them.
Our motto we follow everyday is to treat your child like they are our own!
At Kids City Dental, we understand that many kids are fearful of visiting the dentist, so we do everything we can to let them know that they are safe and in good hands.
Whether it's time for your baby's first exam, your ten-year-old is in need of a filling, or your teenager is ready for braces, we can provide the comforting presence necessary to make your children feel at ease so that they can get the care they need.
Usually around their 6 month birthday a new tooth will pop out!
This is an exciting time, but also confusing as kids do not come with instruction manuals.
Luckily we are here to help with their teeth as they grow!.
Sometimes it takes longer for a tooth to erupt, we can evaluate to make sure everything is developing properly.
During an exam, we will share lots of valuable information on how to take care of your baby's teeth.
We will discuss if cavities are present and identify any areas of concern.
Tooth decay is caused by a buildup of bacteria-filled plaque which wears away at the enamel of children's teeth.
When enough enamel wears away, cavities can begin to form which can lead to a whole host of issues with children's oral health.
Practicing good oral hygiene can go a long way toward reducing plaque and preventing issues with tooth decay, but if you're looking for something to aid in protecting your children's teeth by strengthening enamel you should consider fluoride treatments.
Fluoride is a natural mineral that is used in many oral hygiene products such as toothpastes and mouth rinses, and can sometimes be found in tap water.
Silver Diamine Fluoride, or SDF, is a special liquid medication that helps stop a cavity from growing further.
It contains silver to fight bacteria, and fluoride to strengthen the enamel.
While this will not fix the hole in the tooth, it will buy us some time until we can fix it with a crown or filling.
Think of it as hitting the pause button on the growth of the cavity.
This is really useful in a young patient that is very uncooperative or not ready for dental procedures such as a filling or crown.
When there's a cavity to fix, there's a hole in the tooth that needs to be filled.
Fillings are placed to fill in the hole in the tooth that remains after removing the cavity/infection from the tooth.
Most of the time we will place a tooth-colored filling.
In some cases of bad hygiene, bleeding gums, swollen gums it is best to do a metal filling.
We will discuss your options after an exam.
Amalgam fillings have been placed for over 100 years and approved by the FDA as a safe and effective treatment option.
