Dr. Cangas is a big kid. For most adults, this would make a professional career difficult. For Dr. Cangas, it is his biggest strength. Dr. Cangas' easy-going personality helps him connect easily with children making their dental experiences enjoyable and non-threatening. In addition to providing the highest quality care, Dr. Cangas' main goal is to promote a positive attitude toward dental health and oral health care.
He is a husband and a father, which helps him empathize with parents and treat all his patients as though they were his own. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He has lectured in Europe, Asia, and Central America and formerly served as an assistant professor at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Army Postgraduate Dental School.

A pediatric dentist has two to three years specialty training following dental school and limits his/her practice to treating children only.
Pediatric dentists are primary and specialty oral care providers for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health needs.

Although they don't last as long as permanent teeth, your child's first teeth play an important role in his/her development.
