What does my insurance cover?
Dental insurance helps to cover some of the costs and coverage varies from plan to plan.
Annual deductibles and copays are usual for many plans.
Many dental insurances also have an annual maximum, which puts a cap on how much an insurance company will pay per benefit year.
Many plans follow the 100-80-50 rule.
This means they cover 100% for preventive and routine checkup and cleanings, 80% of filings, root canals and 50% for crowns and surgical procedures.
