Walsh Dental Care
I grew up in the Washington, DC area and graduated from the University of Maryland in 1996. In 2001, I received a DDS degree from Columbia University in New York City and joined the US Navy. I completed a General Practice Residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and served in Atsugi, Japan and Washington Navy Yard. After fulfilling my military commitment I accepted a position as a general dentist in a group practice in Southern Maryland.

As a Washington, DC area native I was excited to have the opportunity to open Walsh Dental Care in Lorton, VA in the fall of 2009. My goal is to provide exceptional dental care to people of all ages in a professional, caring and fun environment. I take time with my patients to educate them about preventative care, explain their treatment options, and help them make informed decisions about their oral health needs.

I annually attend continuing education courses to keep current with the latest advances in dentistry. I am a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.
Services
At Walsh Dental Care we provide comprehensive dental services for the entire family.
We offer preventative, restorative, cosmetic, and emergency dentistry to adults and children.
Our office offers Nitrous Oxide ("laughing gas") for patients with anxiety associated with dental visits.
It causes a calming effect when inhaled, keeping the patient relaxed and comfortable throughout the procedure.
At least 80 million Americans snore (a sign of restricted airflow and impeded breathing during sleep).
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) now recommends oral appliances like the Myerson EMA(R) appliance as a front line of treatment for snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea, and in cases where CPAP has not been tolerated.
Do you suffer from poor fitting or loose dentures?
Are you unhappy with painful or unsightly teeth that prevent you from smiling or eating properly?.
The process begins with placing 4 to 6 implants in your mouth while you are asleep with the help of sedation.
During the same visit, a natural looking, non-removable hybrid appliance is screwed onto the implants.
The result is a new set of teeth that are strong, great looking, and provide you with the same full use and enjoyment as real teeth in a single day.
Invisalign(R) takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you.
These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you simply wear over your teeth.
Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you.
There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten.
You simply pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete and you achieve the confident smile that you've always wanted.
Our office was designed around patient comfort, using state of the art dental technologies.
Our patients benefit by experiencing shorter appointment times and being more involved in their treatment planning.
Digital X-Rays - decreased level of radiation to the patient - elimination of chemicals used to process traditional X-Rays.
Intraoral Camera - allows patient to view the inside of their mouth on a chair-mounted monitor.
