Dr. Murrell grew up in Columbus, Georgia, and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Auburn University in Alabama.
He returned to Georgia to earn his dental degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and moved to Nashville shortly thereafter to begin practicing with his father-in-law, Dr. Gaston.
