During her time at NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Hassam-Sarwar was chosen to participate in the Program for Survivors of Torture, where she treated individuals who were political refugees.
For her undergraduate studies, Dr. Hassam-Sarwar attended Barnard College in New York City, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
