Dr. Thomas J. McDonald was born in Detroit and graduated from Brother Rice High School in 1978.
He then attended the University of Michigan - Dearborn, where he was president of the Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society.
After graduating, he went back to school at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and graduated from there in 1985.
Dr. McDonald opened his first practice in Royal Oak, Michigan, in 1987, where he practiced for 18 years.
In 2005, he sold his Royal Oak practice and opened Mid-Michigan Dental Excellence in Alma, MI.
