He moved to the US in 2001 to further his dental career and become a prosthodontist.
He has a particular interest in digital dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and full mouth rehabilitation.
When at Boston University, he met his wife, Dr. Becerra.
They were both undertaking specialty programs in dentistry.
Now, they have two children, Natalia and Lucas, and call Hingham, MA their home.

I began my journey at South Shore Prosthodontics in 2012 as a dental assistant.
My chairside experience in both, the restorative and the surgical fields, allowed me to understand a broad range of clinical procedures.
Moreover, I developed a strong relationship with all our patients, which I believe is one of the main reason I appreciate my work every day.
Patient advocacy has been a passion and a challenge that has always lined up with my overall enjoyment of people.
Now as the office manager, building personal relationships, working through treatment concerns and creating financial plans has inspired my desire to grow in all of those skills as much as I can.

As a board-certified periodontist, she is able to guide our patients toward improved gum health through innovative procedures.
She has vast experience in gum surgeries, dental implants, and bone grafting procedures, and utilizes a delicate, knowledgeable approach.

Oral Cancer Screening: This involves first an extra-oral visual and digital examination of the lymph nodes of your head and your neck.
During the exam, we are looking for pain, tenderness, and flexibility of the nodes.
It is then followed by a visual and digital examination of your lips (inside and out), and your mouth (your palate, the floor of the mouth, the inside surfaces of the cheeks, your tongue, and your gums).
Digital X-rays: These x-rays allow Dr. Khayat to diagnose any tumor or cyst inside your jaw bone.
During the exam, we are looking for pain, tenderness, and flexibility of the nodes.
It is then followed by a visual and digital examination of your lips (inside and out), and your mouth (your palate, the floor of the mouth, the inside surfaces of the cheeks, your tongue, and your gums).
