Lounette received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was elected to Sigma Phi Alpha, the dental hygiene honor society. After practicing for several years, she decided to take a break to be a stay at home mom during which time she homeschooled her three children. She is happy to be practicing dental hygiene again and is thrilled to be a part of the New Waverly Place Dentistry family as well as the Greater Raleigh Dental Hygiene Association.
Lounette strives to get to know her patients well and help them feel relaxed during their dental visits. In addition to her children, Lounette has one very sweet young grandson. She enjoys the ballet (her daughter is a professional dancer with Carolina Ballet), travel, exercise, and cheering on the Tar Heels. Shannon is an experienced hygienist who joined our team in 2013.
She attended the University of Pittsburgh where she graduated with her hygiene degree in 2003 and continued on to get her bachelor's degree.
