Richard A. Barkin was born and raised in Massapequa, New York, and has been a resident of Rhode Island since 1985.
In 1981, he graduated from George Washington University summa cum laude with a B.A. in Chemistry/Zoology, and then graduated from Georgetown University School of Dental Medicine, magna cum laude, in 1985.
Dr. Barkin scored in the in the top 1% of the nation on the National Dental Board Examination.
After graduating from the Georgetown University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Barkin worked for three general/cosmetic dentistry practices in Barrington, Bristol, and Coventry, Rhode Island, before he opened up his successful private family practice in West Warwick, Rhode Island, where for over 35 years, he has excelled in all aspects of dentistry, and has provided the highest level of dental care for all ages - from toddlers to senior citizens.
